Weekly Update

Been a while. Lifes been pretty decent to me. I got denied a job earlier this week but its all good, their loss.
I got a B- on my Sociology test this week as well, which made me smile because I didnt study to test myself.

My writing workshop teacher loved my Personal Narrative draft, so hopefully she'll love the final draft! =D

Well so far this seems to be going good, Im posting this blog post from my Zune HD.

So yeah, this should be interesting...

Life's going well, life's going good.
I'm can tell I'm going to really enjoy my Tuesday and Thursday class days.
Wake up early, take one class, sit around for 5 hours, take another class, go back home, woo!

Just one thing though...

That second class is Pilates. O.o
How I got placed into it is beyond me.
Don't women take pilates more than men?
That's what youtube tended to express when I looked up what the exercises would be like...

I have a feeling I might not be liking this class much...
My friends joked about how I'll probably be the only guy in there, and if not, the rest are probably gay.

For their efforts, the students got a good feeling for serving others in the community. They also got a cookie. "The kids were incredibly great," said Angela Woosley, the preparedness planner for GRDHD. The community service is part of Wesleyan's freshman orientation class, KW1101, which helps students make the transition from high school to college. Other students did projects around Owensboro on Thursday. "They really work hard, and they had a ball," Woosley said. "And we give them a Great Harvest cookie coupon. The way they acted, you'd think we'd given them gold." The students didn't seem to mind the work, wheeling boxes between the health department buildings across from one another on Breckenridge Street, and the trailers in an adjacent parking lot, and stacking them. Jameilla Wright, an Owensboro High School graduate, said she's volunteered at Wendell Foster's Campus for Developmental Disabilities, where her mother Crystal Johnson works, and done other projects. "I like helping out," Wright said. "Whatever I can do for the community, I'm willing to do. "And it's a learning experience." The health department had stacks of boxes filled with personal protective equipment, such as gloves, masks, gowns, alcohol gel, alcohol preps and Band-Aids, as well as containers for used needles, biohazard bags and much more. Some boxes in trailers needed to go into the health department and vice versa. The freshmen were organized by KWC senior leaders while the health department's medical reserve corps volunteers oversaw the project to make sure the right stuff got to the right place. The trailers are miniclinics to be used in case of a disaster. They can be lifted onto trucks and shipped wherever needed in the GRDHD service area. However, some of the supplies in the trailers may be used throughout the flu season, and then replenished in case of an emergency. Woosley said that if the Wesleyan students didn't help, the medical reserve corps volunteers and GRDHD staff members would have to do the lifting and carrying. "Some of the reserve corps are elderly and (carrying boxes) isn't easy for them," Woosley said. "And if I ask staff here to do it, they would, but that's taking them away from their (primary) jobs. "The kids did it like, hey, this is easy." Daviess County graduate Jameson Wilcockson has volunteered with the Special Olympics and at retirement homes, so community service wasn't new to him. "You get satisfaction for helping someone," said Wilcockson, who checked expiration dates on boxes to ensure their contents were still usable. Brendan Kinsella, a KWC football player, was also used to community service projects. As a freshman at Louisville Trinity, he had to do 15 hours of volunteering, then more hours as he progressed through school. "It's a pleasure helping others," he said. Another Day In KW1101

On break and sitting here in KW1101.
This whole college things pretty sweet, to be honest.
The freedom of movement through the campus.
All the friends close to home. (Something I've never been graced with.)
The flexible hours and amazingly sophisticated system.

I think I really made a good decision with choosing Kentucky Wesleyan as my college.

I think I've got a very bright future ahead of me. :]

Hey Everyone!

Last night was amazing.
You know why?
We totally went to the Youth Rally for the National Day Of Prayer at Bridgepoint.
BEST.
NIGHT.
EVER!

We had a great speaker, and a lot of good songs of praise and worship! My throat was really sore and it was hard to talk the rest of the night, but it was worth it!

My friend Jacob even got to read the word in front of the whole group and did an interpretative dance with his youth for everyone, lucky!

I even saw my old Youth leader, Donald Rice, but he left before I could say hi, though... :[

All in all it was a good night, hope to have more like that in the next few weeks. :]

So It's Been A While Since I've Updated...

I've recently become recaptured by Animal Crossing, addictive little game, that is.

Not really much going on, proms getting closer and closer and I still have yet to find anyone to go with me, oh well, I honestly give up. :/

Going to church in a little while, if anything exciting happens I'll make sure to let you all know!

I've Seen Jesus!

So I just got out of church, right?
We had this awesome play thingy, and the local Josh Morris was the Jesus of the day.

Overall it was really nice, I started to notice choir members randomly dissapearing, and I started freaking, think, "OH LAWD, THEY'RE BEING TAKEN UP!" only to see them reappear miraculacly as a cast member in the play and suddenly back in the choir.

I must say, today's been pretty supernatural.
Sheesh.

So, This Is My First Time...

I've never ever made a blog before.
I bet you're thinking, "Why start now, then!?"
Because I WANT to! :D

So forgive me if I may seem a little boring/lackluster at first, I'm still thinking of how to go around this whole "blogging" beast I've seemed to have stumbled upon.

Anyways, for starts, I'm Logan (which should be apparent if you've read the title, and if you don't know me, why are you even here?! D: ), I'm a 17 year old just trying to make his way through life.

And... Failing at it? -Shrugs- Who's to say, honestly.

So here's looking forward to writing about me, myself and I for quite a while to come.
